Terms of Service
Last updated October 10, 2026
Beta version. This is the plain-language terms for Hearth’s private beta. A lawyer-reviewed version will replace it before Hearth opens to the public, and we will update this page and its date when that happens.
Using Hearth
By using Hearth you agree to these terms. You must be 13 or older. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in codes and passkey to yourself.
It is a beta
Hearth is in private beta. It may change, have bugs, or be unavailable at times, and we cannot promise it will never lose data. Please keep a copy of anything you cannot afford to lose, especially notes, which live only on your phone.
Your content
What you post is yours. By posting it in Hearth you give us permission to store it and show it to other members inside the app so the service works. When you delete a post or your account, that permission ends for what you deleted. Only post what you have the right to share.
Keeping Hearth warm
Hearth is a place to grow in faith and encourage one another. Please follow the Community Guidelines, which you can read in the app under Settings. In short: no harassment or hate, nothing explicit, violent or exploitative, no spam, scams or impersonation, and nothing that endangers minors.
We may review posts, remove content, and suspend or remove accounts that break these rules. You can report a post or block someone from the ••• menu.
Not a crisis service, not professional advice
Hearth is not a crisis service, and nothing in it is medical, legal, or counseling advice. If you or someone else may be in danger, call your local emergency number or, in the US, call or text 988.
Ending your use
You can stop at any time and delete your account in Settings (see the Privacy Policy). We can end or limit access if these terms are broken or to keep people safe.
No warranty, limited liability
During the beta, Hearth is provided “as is,” without promises about how it will work. To the extent the law allows, Hearth is not liable for indirect or incidental losses from using it.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the date above and tell you in the app when a change matters. Using Hearth after that means you accept the update.
